This garden is dedicated to wildlife, pollen and nectar rich plants are selected to complement existing vegetation, and some plants typically regarded as garden weeds are retained such as Teasels which provide Goldfinch with an overwintering source of food and perching points.
A new pond is designed for easy access for wildlife with a gradual sloping substrate and placement of stepping stones, populated with aquatic plants the pond meets the approval of local wildlife and has been newly colonised by frogs. Overlooking the pond there is space to sit and appreciate the coming and going of many creatures as they explore and make themselves at home in this wildlife friendly garden.
